Colorado Springs, Colorado — Due to continued growth and expansion, CEO Felipe Pinto and Chief of Staff Harrison Budge recently returned to their alma mater, Brigham Young University (BYU), in search of fresh talent to take Bit 49 to another level of sales, operations and brand development.
The scaling of the company continues to intensify, moving Bit 49 to meet demand with an injection of personnel and infrastructure. The event was a huge success, and the right candidates found their way to the Bit 49 booth despite the many students and organizations in attendance.
When discussing the quality of incoming talent, Pinto felt they had the fit that was necessary to move forward without hesitation and begin adding additional capacity to North America operations.
“BYU has incredible talent. First, BYU’s undergraduate program draws a disproportionate amount of students that turn down other top schools and are national merit scholars. Its undergraduates have gone on to PhD programs more than any other school. We see high quality candidates come through in our applicant pool. High school valedictorians and students with near perfect college entrance exams have applied to work for us,” said Pinto.
“BYU students also speak a variety of foreign languages with fluent or near-fluent levels of proficiency. The vast majority of them have served two-year missions for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, often speaking a foreign language. Our most recent wave of new hires collectively speak: French, Mandarin, Cantonese, Japanese, Spanish, German, and more. Many of these languages are central to our supply chain and business development efforts.”
Bit 49 was formed by two Stanford graduate students — one in business, one in computer science — and an incredible operations lead who has built hundreds of mining rigs. Our mission is to make the most high performing, reliable, and user-friendly mining solutions possible. We’re proud of our 100% publicly verifiable, positive feedback, and have thrived by putting our customers first. Having proven ourselves as rig makers, we are leveraging our passion and expertise into other products and services, many customer-recommended. We seek to be a business and thought leader in the space indefinitely.
Felipe Pinto completed his MBA at Stanford in 2017 and is on leave of absence from Harvard, where he was pursuing a JD, to lead Bit 49 full time.
